Is your marketing still working for you? Let’s pause and reflect

Is it the end of June already?! Every time I get to this time of year, it feels like time has put the pedal to the metal and everything is moving waay too fast.

If you’re the same, I imagine you’ve been busy doing the work, keeping up with clients, and keeping the business running. But how often do you pause to check whether your marketing is actually doing what you hoped it would?

This is your gentle reminder to stop, take a breath, and ask the question: is your marketing still working for you?

What “working” really means when it comes to marketing

For values-led business owners, marketing is not just about clicks or conversions. Truly authentic marketing is about connection. It’s about reaching the right people in a way that feels genuine and aligned with your values.

So when we say working, we’re not just talking numbers (although numbers are AWESOME!). We’re talking about whether your marketing is helping you stay visible, build trust, and bring the right clients to your door. That might look like:

  • Getting consistent enquiries from people who understand your offer
  • Feeling confident about what to post and when
  • Seeing engagement from the right audience
  • Noticing that your website or emails are doing some of the heavy lifting for you

If you’re not seeing those things, it doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It just means it might be time to check in and make a few small course corrections.

Why right now is the perfect time to pause and reflect

The midpoint of the year is a really powerful time to take stock. It’s far enough from January that you’ve seen some patterns emerge. But it’s also not too late to change tack if something isn’t quite heading in the right direction.

This is definitely not about overhauling everything. Let’s not throw away all your hard work!

It’s about noticing what’s working and what’s feeling forced. Ask yourself:

  • Which bits of marketing have felt enjoyable or natural?
  • Where have you seen the most connection or response?
  • What’s been a drain on your time or energy?
  • Are your current messages still aligned with what you really want to say?

Reflection helps you spot opportunities and cut out the noise. And when your business is values-led, clarity and simplicity go a long way.

How I support clients to realign with ease

This kind of check-in is something I do regularly with my clients. We look at the data, of course. But we also talk about what feels good, what fits your unique energy, and what your audience actually wants from you.

I help business owners who care create marketing strategies that feel grounded, human, and doable. Together, we build plans that reflect your values, connect with your audience, and adapt as your business grows.

And if something’s not working, we fix it. Without the drama.

You don’t have to do it all at once

If the idea of an in-depth marketing review feels like too much, then start small. One thoughtful hour looking over your website, social media, or recent email campaigns can make a difference.

You’ll soon start to notice what’s resonating and what’s not. Once you spot it, you can weed out what isn’t and take this forward into your future planning. You might find that with a few tweaks, your marketing starts to feel lighter and more effective.

You don’t have to do it alone

This is exactly the kind of work I love to do with my clients. Seeing them go from overwhelmed to energised and focused is pure gold. Whether you need clarity, accountability, or a fresh perspective, I can help you move forward with confidence.
